Backcountry Film Festival coming back on Feb 17th

Last time the Backcountry Film Festival has been cancelled because of some problems with the date we booked with MetroPub. But this time you are lucky, because this Friday (Feb 17th) we are going to run the show at the same place – MetroPub, Bishkek.

Everyone are welcomed! Fully free entrance. Don’t forget some warm clothes because it is quite cold inside!

40tribesbackcountry site. Preparing for the 11/12 season

Well finally. We’ve got a stable sunny weather yesterday and went to the 40tribes site to do some ground works. Level the yurt platform and dig a shitter holes Oh yeah, the shitter holes!

The driving up to the site was a bit crazy, because the mud up there is quite wet and there is already a bunch of snow. Yeah! You can already ride some pow places above the site. The upcoming storm will bring much more snow and here you are free to go!

Well, enjoy the time lapse made during our stay up there.

It was a quite rainy morning yesterday. Some snow covered nearby mountains and it feels quite cold now. Need to try some swimming in the lake

Yurt platform repair for 40tribesbackcountry

This summer was quite positive and full of different adventures over the mountains and other countries. So its gone pretty quick while I was chillin’ with the UNKLE, POMPEYA and Jamiroquai playing in my earbuds. Anyway the autumn is here, the time when you see great sunsets each evening and should take care of apples and sea buckthorn berries, apparently we don’t have anything else growing at our spot this year.

As you remember we had some cooperation with 40tribesbackcountry last season, we are also going to work together in upcoming season. I hope this thing will work for years ahead as it is quite a great experience for coming travelers and especially for locals.

Anyway last season gone through pretty good. The yurt went down and we had to leave the yurt platform up there because it was freeze into ground and there was no way to transport it. Unfortunately when the snow melted some locals from the village broke the platform apart and stolen some pieces. Nurbek (the guy from the village) moved the platform parts down and stored it at his place. Last week we visited yurt site and Nurbek to check everything and get the platform parts back to repair it. Everything at our spot now and we are fixing the platform. This season it is gonna be much more solid!
