Ну вот и все господа. Все железо доставлено на базу и прошел долгожданный снежок. Поэтому в ближайшие две недели на базе будут установлены все джиб линии и может быть появится парочка бигеров (зависит исключительнот от наличия снега).

Помимо основных элементов планируется установить бочку и пайп-слайд на кикере, эдакая большая труба с вылетом в космос

ЗЫ. После завершения работ я смонтирую видео презентацию основных джиб линий и напишу небольшой отчет.

At last. A good storm came to our local places and we got a good snowfall in Chui valley and even in Karakol. I think that Too-Ashuu is also got a good portion of this white flakes.

Meanwhile Karakol will get the first portion of metal constructions installed. We also plan to start building some average kickers and some fun elements using pipes.

You will be able to test some of this stuff this weekend.

Karakol mountain resort will launch 09/10 season on special day – the Friday 13th (November).

If you are still not sure about going there then forget everything and GO as there are more then 50cm of powder now. This is really much for the early season.

The resort works everyday. Lifts are on from 9a.m. till 4p.m. The price is the same as last season and is just 700 soms (about 15 USD).

While being at Karakol resort at first time on snow park planning question we met a group of guys from South Korea which were recording an interview from some resort workers.

When we went up to the east lift we had a little conversation with Park Jung Un, which seems to be a head of this team, and he told us that they are making HD-quality movie about Kyrgyzstan tourism and nature for introducing it to the South Korean people. (continue reading…)

What is a good ski/snowboarding resort? Well first of all it is good routes, lifts, accommodation and services. Karakol mountain resort has all this and I must say that this is the most attractive and good resort in Kyrgyzstan and maybe in CA.

But what sad about any resorts here is that there are no any sort of snow parks anywhere, no rails, pipes and even no kickers. So basically whole riding goes to some back country and fast shots of alcohol each time you go down to the lift.

This mid-season we have contacted Karakol resort managers regarding building first snow park in Kyrgyzstan. And you know what, they liked this idea a lot. And we had a decision to prepare a reasonable snow park plan and then make it live. (continue reading…)
